Student Success Statement

"I will persist until i succeed"
-Og Mandino
(Author of "The Greatest Salesman in the World")

through my mind, i believe this quote is saying that he will keep trying to achieve this goal until he actually achieves it. no matter what the hardships, and other obstacles he has to face along the way, he will achieve this goal. even if it means he has to persist for the rest of his life, he will achieve this without fail. this goal of yours may even change the way you live your everyday life, from the little things you do everyday, or in the long run.

Perfusionist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perfusionists operate circulation equipment in medical situations. They will artificially replace a patient’s circulatory or respiratory functions. They usually work during heart surgery, and similar operations where the patient may be having trouble controlling his or her breathing. With their job, they also have to operate a heart-lung machine, administering types of anesthesia, and also some types of medication.

Average Salary:
$50,000

Educational Requirements:
If you wish to become a perfusionist, you will  need a high school diploma, but also you will need a background in biology and chemistry just to become accepted into a training program. These training programs are given at academic health centers, medical schools, and universities.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to become one? Why? Why not?
No, I would not like to become a perfusionist. I say no towards this career because I prefer a more active job, and I wouldn’t do a very good job at this either. I would be scared, knowing that I am ion charge of someone’s life when they need me.

Student Success Statement
"Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement."
-Matt Biondi
Olympic Gold Medal winner, World Record Holder

i agree with this statement by Matt Biondi. i agree with this thought because it actually makes sense. if you don't stop trying to achieve something you can possibly become so good at it that you may even be the very best at what you do.there's no way you can achieve greatness if all your doing is watching the others run ahead of you in this race we call life. we have to persist in what we do no matter the hardships and learn to overcome our fears to become the very best. even if you fail at what you are doing the first time, you will at least know what caused you to fail the first time and soon overcome what you did wrong making you a better person than the day before.

Student Success Statement Calvin Coolidge

Student Success Statement

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence."
TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. the slogan 'press on' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."
-President Calvin Coolidge
(30th president of US 1872-1933)

I agree with this statement by our 30th president, Calvin Coolidge. I agree with his ideas because it speaks of the truth. without our effort to achieve something, and also the right mind set. There's no way we can achieve anything. As long as we really want to achieve something and actually strive to achieve this goal by putting our time and effort into this, will we actually get better at it, or even become the very best at it.

Education:
If you wish to become a patient representative, you should take high school courses in business, science, math, and English. The requirements for this job may be different depending on where you wish to work,  but most of the employers will rather give the job to a college graduate, which makes sense.  They should take college classes in health or social services.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to become one? Why? Why not?
I would not like to become a patient representative. Although I like the idea of being able to help people out, I would prefer a rather more active job where I can still help people. In other words, my life-long goal of joining the marines and doing my best at what I’m asked to do.
